Emma Stone is an American film and television actress. Her film credits include Crazy, Stupid, Love, The Help, and The Amazing Spider-Man. Stone was born Emily Jean Stone on November 6, 1988 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Her mother, Krista, is a homemaker, and her father, Jeffrey, a contractor. She has a younger brother named Spencer. Stone attended the all girl Catholic school Xavier College Preparatory‍. She dropped out before completing a diploma. She also took voice lessons as a child.

CAREER
Stone made her stage debut as “Otter” in the youth theater production of The Wind in the Willows. She was 11 at the time. Her stage credits also include Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, and The Princess and the Pea. Stone moved to Los Angeles in 2004 and joined the Screen Actors Guild shortly after. She competed and won the VH1 reality show ‘In Search of the New Partridge Family’ in 2004. She followed up with guest appearances in Malcolm in the Middle, Medium, and Lucky Louie. She held a recurring role as “Violet Trimble” in the short lived Fox drama series, Drive.

Stone made her big screen debut in the teen-comedy film, Superbad (2007). She won a Young Hollywood Award for her performance. Her next film role was that of “Amelia Stone” in The Rocker (2008) starring Rainn Wilson. She held prominent roles in The House Bunny (2008) with Anna Faris, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (2009) with Matthew McConaughey, and Zombieland (2009) with Woody Harrelson. Stone earned a Golden Globe Award nomination for her lead role as “Olive Penderghast” in Easy A (2010). She was cast as Eugenia “Skeeter” Phelan in The Help (2011), and played the love interest of Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man (2012).

Stone held a supporting role as Samantha “Sam” Thomson in Birdman (2014) starring Michael Keaton. She won several award nominations including an Academy, a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Supporting Actress. Stone’s other films include Gangster Squad, Aloha, Irrational Man and La La Land. She voiced the character “Eep Crood” for the animated film, The Croods (2013).
