All Confirmed Mounts Available in Hogwarts Legacy

As it currently stands, there are three confirmed mounts that players will have access to in Hogwarts Legacy; the Thestral, the Hippogriff, and the Broomstick. While there may be more mounts added later in the game's release, these are the three we'll be covering below. We'll also break down how each mount is unlocked as well as how they will perform in the game.

The Thestral Mount

Thestrals are deathly-looking horse-like creatures with wings that allow players to ride them throughout the world. They aren't necessarily the fastest, but they look quite intimidating. They first appeared in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and while they can only be seen by those who have "seen death" according to the film, in-game they will be accessible to players who have purchased the Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Editon or Collector’s Edition

The Hippogriff Mount

Hippogriffs, which can fly faster than any mount in the game, will be among the "high-end" mounts available in Hogwarts Legacy. Harry Potter rides one of these creatures in the Prisoner of Azkaban which goes by the name of Buckbeak. It's a fascinating creature to see as it's a roughly one-third lion, one-third eagle, and one-third horse. The Onyx Hippogriff will be obtainable by pre-ordering any edition of Hogwarts Legacy.

The Broomstick Mount

When anyone pictures a witch or wizard flying through the air, they most likely do so while picturing them on a Broom. This is the iconic mode of travel in the wizarding world of Hogwarts Legacy, as well as being used for Quidditch matches as it offers a middle ground of speed and control. This mount is also given to all players by default when playing the game, so we can all look forward to zipping through the air on our broomsticks when Hogwarts Legacy drops
