Nendoroid Face Maker Experience MyFigureCollection.net
...but there was just one thing missing here. The face. Not only did it not match the skin colour of the doll body, but it wasn't really "vampire pale".
Nendoroid Face Maker to the rescue!
If you haven't heard of them, they are an official branch(?) of Good Smile Company that prints custom faces for you. They only offer shipping within Japan though, so you will need to use a proxy service. I followed DeJapan's guide and used their website to get mine.
I completed my face designs and ordered on the 25th April -> Shipping notification came on the 2nd May -> DeJapan received them on the 4th -> Arrived in UK today on the 16th. Overall a pretty quick process.
The box is just plain white with the shipping label on it. Inside are the instructions (if you're familiar with Nendos, this won't be needed), a layer of soft padding and the faces themselves.
Quality is respectable. You can definitely tell they are printed on as the eyes and mouth are not treated with a matte finish, meaning they shine a lot more than official faces. Could probably fix that yourself with a matte sealant though.
Top of the head has the Face Maker logo so you'll always know where it came from, haha.
Fits well with the hair. The face maker does offer some example guides on where certain hair pieces may cover/reveal certain parts of the face, which helps a lot if you're not sure how high or low to place the brows.
Completed Vampire Teto!! My little baby got her fangs now, and she looks awesome!
I would definitely use them again if I had any further custom needs tbh.
